FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What do I need for my Yoga class?

A. Wether you are coming to an adults class or a kids class, wear something comfortable, bring a bottle of water. have a big smile and a willingness to give it a go!

Q. What is Yoga for Children & Teens?

A. Yoga for children & Teens is so different to adult yoga. It's fun & loud in a children's yoga class. It's more structured, we have rules. Yoga for children and teens is relatable to them, classes are age appropriate, they always have a theme or intention.

Children & teens get to learn about how their bodies and minds work, they learn tools to empower them to make changes for themselves.

Q. What is Yoga Therapy for Children & Teens

A. I teach children & teens using Meridian based Yoga Therapy, this means working on the energy lines in the body to bring the body back to into balance or to help it function well. The body systems (organs, structure, energy) are cleansed, energised and strengthened.

This style of yoga uses specific exercises, breathing, relaxation as a way to treat/manage ailments and issues as simple as a cold, to asthma, to diabetes.

Q. What are Holistic Therapies?

A. Holistic Therapies are a way to support the whole body, not just the physical. Here at Recharge Yoga we offer a range of services.

Q. What if I think I am too old, too young, too loud, too inflexible to practice yoga?

A. It doesn't matter if you think that you are too young, too old, too fat, too skinny, too tall, too short, too whatever. It doesn't matter if you think that I am not flexible enough, or quiet enough or relaxed enough or whatever enough. Yoga doesn't care! When you practice yoga you will learn to be flexible, you will learn to be relaxed and calm, you will learn to be fit. These are just some of the benefits of yoga.

But the true essence of yoga, is to EMPOWER you to see how we really are, and to be ok with that. When we can recognise and accept where we're really at, we empower ourselves to make decisions and choices for change, for growth, for happiness.
